Welcome
at a Church That Loves God and His People
Living Word is a family church where we come together in unity to grow spiritually and experience the love of God. (Pslm. 133:1-3)
We spread the Word of God with dedication and work to equip believers for their calling and service. (Isa. 52:7; Eph. 4:12)
Living Word Richards Bay is a dynamic renewal church with a heart for our city and its people.
We strive to activate and equip believers of all ages to be powerful, effective doers of the Word. Our vision is to establish loving, Word-based Kingdom communities that make a lasting impact.
Our services create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the whole family feels welcome. Our goal is to bring people closer to God’s heart and make His love visible for the city and its inhabitants.
Our Core Values
- Love and Grace: We always show love and grace to all people (John 13:34).
- Unity: We promote godly unity and resist division (1 Cor. 1:10; Pslm. 133:1-3).
- Commitment: We are committed to the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of Living Word..
- Respect: We respect all people as the image of God, regardless of gender, culture, or status (Ro. 12:10).
- Faithful Servitude: We live with an attitude of humility and service (Matt. 20:28; Phil. 2:3-4).
- Integrity: We act with honesty and integrity in all aspects of our lives (Spr. 10:9; Prov. 11:3).
Statement of Faith
- We believe in one God, the Almighty Father, Creator of heaven and earth (Gn. 1:1; Isa. 44:24; John 1:1-3).
- We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. He suffered, died, rose again, and ascended into heaven for us. He will return to judge the living and the dead (John 3:16; Col. 1:15-17; Jes. 53:5; 2 Tim. 4:1).
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, who gives life and is worshipped together with the Father and Son (Rom. 8:11; Eph. 4:4-6; Matt. 28:19).
- We believe in one Christian church and one baptism for the forgiveness of sins (Eph. 4:4-6; Acts 2:38).
- We believe in the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the body and eternal life (1 Tess. 4:16-17; John 5:28-29).
Authority of the Bible
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments – the sixty-six canonical books of the Bible – as originally written, as fully inspired by God. We accept it as the highest and final authority for faith and life (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; 1 Pet. 1:25).

Mandate
Can a city return to the Lord? Your answer determines your involvement.
The strategic alignment of Living Word within the body of Christ is based on our mandate and vision. We fulfill our mandate through discipleship, which involves four core steps: win, establish, equip, and send.
Our Vision
The establishment of a loving, Word-based Kingdom community.
Jesus calls on us to be fishers of men (Matt. 4:19; Mark. 1:17) and to follow in His footsteps (Luk. 9:23; Matt. 16:24-26). Fish must be caught (“win”), cleaned (“establish”), prepared (“equip”), and provided to people as food (“send”)
Our Mission
To be powerful, active doers of the Word.
The establishment of a loving, Word-based Kingdom community. Living Word’s vision directs its goals and explains the unique role and function that God sees for Living Word within the Body of Christ.
(1 Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 4:11-13; Col. 3:16; John 13:34-35)
